A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
The 2nd Most Influential Conservative Book is 50 this week.

When I first read the Fountainhead I was 42 years old and still a Democrat. The first question I asked myself was why did not my father hand me this book when I was studying architecture in my teens? When I read Atlas Shrugged it changed my life. In it I read about both my grandfathers; one was an industrialist and other an economist, who, at the bequest of President Eisenhower, rebuilt the economies of Japan, West Germany and Austria after WWII. They were both objectivists and were the first staunch conservatives I knew. My father on the other hand, was quoted as saying, “In matters of the heart, I am a Democrat and in matters of my wallet I am a Republican.” My father was an art historian and an accomplished painter.

My conversion started when I my son was born. Ayn Rand was the catalyst that caused me to change my registration and September 11, 2001 called me into action to fight the enemies of America; Liberalism and Islamic Fascism.

He is the SoCal Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition and has done much to spotlight the principals and values of the Republican Party not only in the Jewish Community but to all the communities in the Southern California region for which he serves. He is a bright star of enlightenment shining through the murky night of fear that has enveloped our nation. I love Larry as a brother, I am honored that he agreed to speak to our Alliance. Jeffers

Lores Rizkalla

I have known Lores for about a year now. You can read and comment at her blog "Just A Woman" and listen and call in as she anchors her own radio show on KRLA. I call her our "Captain of the Air War" when she is on the air. She is the voice of the Republican Activist in Los Angeles County. She is a Christian born in L.A. with her roots in Egypt and is very much in favor of winning this war against Islamo Fascism. Sean Hannity and Hugh Hewitt have mentored Lores in the art of talk radio. Unfortunately for us I see a bright career in Radio and TV in her future which will put her in the National Spotlight and taking her away from us. She is beautiful and talented and fun to be with. I am also honored that she agreed to speak to our Alliance. Jeffers

VOTE MAY 15TH. THIS WEEK

Jose Bonilla candidate for the 39th Assembly District. If Mr. Bonilla wins this election it will mean the beginning of the end of Liberal and Democratic corruption in Los Angeles.

Roy Burns candidate for Seat on the Los Angeles Community College Board of Trustees. As further evidence of the current Board’s misbehavior, we find that they are announcing the resignation of Mike Waxman from the Board at the end of February. One candidate has dropped out of this election because he expects to be appointed for the next 2 years, so why bother having to be elected. We need ROY BURNS to object to this appointment and support the election laws!

ACTIVIST HIDEAWAY

David Hernandez and Ted Hayes will talk about immigration reform and the impact illegal immigration has had on the African American community and why it is vital that the consequences of uncontrolled immigration be part of the immigration reform dialogue. From slave ships to the auction blocks to the plantation to the fight for civil rights and equality in America the pathway to citizenship of the African American cannot be devalued.

Jeffers Dodge, Editor and President of LARA, will moderate the discussions and also comment on all of the mentioned subjects. He will also comment on our progress as an organization and what we are trying to achieve. Mr. Dodge believes most if not all social ills can be solved using constructive competitive economic policies implemented by legislative activism and those social issues that cannot be solved by these principles must be preference of the majority of the voters.

FUTURE EVENTS

Andy Ramerize and Ron Prince will discuss what's happing with the "FRIENDS OF THE BOARDER PATROL."
The Coalition is undergoing a name change. It is dropping the word coalition and replacing it with Alliance. This process may take months to complete.
The Coalition is teaming up with the Democratic Economic Liberty Foundation to schedule a debate on the pro and cons of Free Market Capitalism and Socialism.

Each of the presidential candidate's pictured BELOW has a link to their website. We encourage you to visit each of them frequently as various issues come to mind. We believe that it is to early to be absolute certain which candidate is the right one. We need to hear from them all. I know which ones I like. Come to the meeting and lets discuss our choices. You can also vote for your choice in our straw poll that can be found on our website.

If anyone has an idea for a political cartoon please send it in at this email address.
