A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
POLL: I am sick and tired of the Democrat’s
constant anti-war mantra; “The last election was an overwhelming
referendum by the
people that they want our troops out of Iraq.” And I am
sick and tired of the Republicans just sitting there looking like
dufuses with no comment. I am going to say right here and now that
I am with the Democrats on this; I TOO WANT
THE TROOPS OUT OF IRAQ with one caveat; FIRST, I want them to kick
ass and win. Please take the
poll on the right side of this page.
-----------------
To all our Fellow Republicans and Conservatives;
We are now in the beginning throws of the 2008 election season.
We are going to elect a whole slew of local candidates in addition
to the President. Did you know this is the first time in 80 years
that we have an open-seat?
No incumbent or vice presidents are running.
To make things more exciting this will be the first election utilizing
the full capabilities of the great equalizer, the New Media. You
and I are communicating right now via the New Media. The Internet
has so much to offer in terms of delivering a political message.
Email, informational websites, blogs, live radio streaming, YouTube,
Google, and MySpace. Couple that with telephony technology such as
the upcoming iPhone by Apple, text messaging and the ever increasing
affordability of cell phones as well as VOIP technology
and we are going to have one hell of an election. The Democrats are
losing there monopoly on Message Distribution.
It is important to remember the potential power Los Angeles has
in influencing National politics. The fact that our county has the
largest population of Republicans in the United States, over 1 million
strong, is a clue to this kinetic potential. We are all concerned
about what happens politically in Los Angeles County and believe
it or not, other than voting, each one of us can play a part in changing
the status quo. In the
immediate future, you are welcome tp come to our meeting that will
be held on Wednesday night the 28th at 7:30PM or if you can’t
make it, a donation of $11 to our campaign to take back Los Angeles.
Each of the presidential candidate's pictures above has a link to
their website. We encourage you to visit each of them frequently
as various issues come to mind. We believe that it is to early to
be absolute certain which candidate is the right one. We need to
hear from them all. I know which ones I like. Come to the meeting
and lets discuss our choices. You can also vote for your choice in
our straw poll that can be found on our website.
Tom Phillips will speak on the pros and cons of Socialism and Free
Market Capitalism as they are applied to our School Systems, Social
Security and other big government entitlements.
David Hernandez and Ted Hayes will talk about immigration reform
and the impact illegal immigration has had on the African American
community and why it is vital that the consequences of uncontrolled
immigration be part of the immigration reform dialogue. From slave
ships to the auction blocks to the plantation to the fight for civil
rights and equality in America the pathway to citizenship of the
African American cannot be devalued.
Dr. Carl Davis will say a few words about the structure of the Republican
Party here in Los Angeles County, and why there has not been a Republican
elected to the State Assembly or Senate in a long time. Why we are
on the hunt for qualified candidates to fill the seats when they
become open.
I will moderate the discussions and also comment on all of these
subjects. I will also comment on our progress as an organization
and what we are trying to achieve.
We want to here from you too. So please join us Wednesday night
for great and cheap Italian food and lively political discussion.
We are raising funds to buy air-time on the
radio, hopefully on the Lores Rizkalla show. We need about $1,500 to buy fifteen 30 second
spots to promote Republican Values, Principals and Issues. Please
help by clicking here.
Thank you,
Jeffers Dodge

ACTION ALERTS:
-
The Coalition’s next meeting is March 28th at 7:30 pm
at Johnnie’s New York Pizza on Santa Monica’s Third
Street Promenade. Our featured speaker, Tom Phillips, will address
the key differences between the economic principles of Socialism
and Free Market Capitalism in a Republic.

PLEASE VOTE IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY'S PRESIDENTIAL STRAW POLL
HERE I know it is early but it is important to know the tone
of Los Angeles County. In one month I will send the results to
the wining candidates campaign manager. We will be reminding
you weekly to vote as the candidate's position themselves to
make a strong California presence.
- Please, if you have any minor computer skills start
a blog. It
can be an anonymous blog, or not, but we need to build a conservative
network out there. Go to BlogSpot.com or WordPress.com to
start your own. It takes seconds to do. If
you need help click here.
As always our theme for our meetings will be how we can rehabilitate
the word “Republican,” and discuss what it would take to
run for office. We will hear from some of Los Angeles's most active
activists discuss the current state of affairs.
